Financial Analyst - variance reporting (Rochester, NY)

Clearpath Ember Water Authority is a public water utility serving the Rochester area, and we need a Financial Analyst to lead our variance reporting. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Rochester. What you will do • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. What we are looking for • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. Nice to have • A relevant degree or certification. • Experience with capital projects.
