Financial Analyst - variance reporting (Reno, NV)

We are growing our team at Harborlight Haven Insurance and adding a Financial Analyst whose main responsibility will be variance reporting. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Reno. What you will do • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. • Model the cost of customer complaints and recommend where to save. What we are looking for • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. Nice to have • Experience with claims. • A relevant degree or certification. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Reno. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
