Financial Analyst - variance reporting (remote)

Fernwood Rowan Foods is a Detroit food manufacturer supplying grocers and food-service customers. We are hiring a Financial Analyst to take on variance reporting. You would join a large organisation of about 549 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Model the cost of customer specifications and recommend where to save. • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. What we are looking for • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. Nice to have • A relevant degree or certification. • Experience with sanitation schedules. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, mornings. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Detroit. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
