Financial Analyst - variance reporting (remote)

Northwind Maple Water Authority is looking for a Financial Analyst. The job centres on variance reporting for billing accounts, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Crews and office staff work closely together. What you will do • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. • Model the cost of billing accounts and recommend where to save. What we are looking for • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. Nice to have • Experience with treatment plant data. • A relevant degree or certification.
