Financial Analyst - variance reporting (remote)

Bright Bridge Energy supplies electricity and gas to homes and businesses around San Jose. We are hiring a Financial Analyst to take on variance reporting. Reliability is the job, and people here take pride in answering the phone at 3 a.m. when needed. What you will do • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Model the cost of billing disputes and recommend where to save. • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. What we are looking for • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. Nice to have • A relevant degree or certification. • Experience with outage response. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in San Jose. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
