Financial Analyst - variance reporting (remote)

Bright Oak Transit Planning plans bus and rail service for cities around Raleigh, and we need a Financial Analyst to lead our variance reporting. You would join a small organisation of about 99 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. What we are looking for • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. Nice to have • Experience with ridership counts. • A relevant degree or certification. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Raleigh. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
