Financial Analyst - variance reporting (remote)

We are growing our team at Ironwood North Learning Group and adding a Financial Analyst whose main responsibility will be variance reporting. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Model the cost of school calendars and recommend where to save. • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. What we are looking for • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. Nice to have • Experience with student accounts. • A relevant degree or certification. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Des Moines. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
