Financial Analyst - variance reporting (remote)

Harborlight Basin Foods produces packaged foods at its Sacramento plant, and we need a Financial Analyst to lead our variance reporting. Food safety is non-negotiable and we train for it. What you will do • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. • Model the cost of cold storage and recommend where to save. • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. What we are looking for • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. Nice to have • Experience with production batches. • A relevant degree or certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, spread across three days. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Sacramento. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
