Financial Analyst - variance reporting (remote)

Ironwood Fern Transit Planning is a transit-planning firm in Baltimore working with agencies and riders. We are hiring a Financial Analyst to take on variance reporting. We value plain explanations. What you will do • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. What we are looking for • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. Nice to have • Experience with accessibility audits. • A relevant degree or certification.
