Financial Analyst - variance reporting (remote)

Lumen Stone Transit Planning is a transit-planning firm in St. Louis working with agencies and riders. We are hiring a Financial Analyst to take on variance reporting. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. What we are looking for • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. Nice to have • A relevant degree or certification. • Experience with survey data. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, afternoons. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in St. Louis. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
