Financial Analyst - variance reporting (remote)

Bright Quill Banking Services Group provides everyday banking and small-business lending around Oakland. We are hiring a Financial Analyst to take on variance reporting. We keep decisions close to customers and expect people to explain things plainly. What you will do • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. • Model the cost of card disputes and recommend where to save. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. What we are looking for • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. Nice to have • Experience with branch operations. • A relevant degree or certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, afternoons. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Oakland. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
