Financial Analyst - variance reporting (remote)

Nova Pine Financial is a financial-services company in Detroit, and we need a Financial Analyst to lead our variance reporting. Trust is the product, so accuracy and clarity matter. What you will do • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. • Model the cost of payment disputes and recommend where to save. What we are looking for • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. Nice to have • A relevant degree or certification. • Experience with account servicing. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, afternoons. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Detroit. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
