Financial Analyst - variance reporting (remote)

Cedar Iron Insurance provides coverage to households and businesses around Miami, and we need a Financial Analyst to lead our variance reporting. We care about how people feel on the worst day of their year. What you will do • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Model the cost of policy renewals and recommend where to save. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. What we are looking for • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. Nice to have • Experience with premium billing. • A relevant degree or certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, afternoons. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Miami. • We reply to every applicant.
