Financial Analyst - variance reporting (remote)

Ironwood Birch Energy Group delivers power and gas plans across the El Paso region. We are hiring a Financial Analyst to take on variance reporting. You would join a large organisation of about 649 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. • Model the cost of outage response and recommend where to save. What we are looking for • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. Nice to have • Experience with hardship programmes. • A relevant degree or certification. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in El Paso. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
