Financial Analyst - variance reporting (remote)

Cedar Energy is an energy provider in Salt Lake City focused on reliable service and fair billing. We are hiring a Financial Analyst to take on variance reporting. Reliability is the job, and people here take pride in answering the phone at 3 a.m. when needed. What you will do • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. • Model the cost of usage data and recommend where to save. • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. What we are looking for • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. Nice to have • A relevant degree or certification. • Experience with billing disputes. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Salt Lake City. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
