Financial Analyst - variance reporting (remote)

Highbridge Basin Energy delivers power and gas plans across the Madison region, and we need a Financial Analyst to lead our variance reporting. Reliability is the job, and people here take pride in answering the phone at 3 a.m. when needed. What you will do • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Model the cost of outage response and recommend where to save. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. What we are looking for • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. Nice to have • A relevant degree or certification. • Experience with meter readings. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Madison. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
