Financial Analyst - variance reporting (remote)

Rivermark Wilder Insurance is an insurance company in Portland with claims and service teams, and we need a Financial Analyst to lead our variance reporting. You would join a small organisation of about 37 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Model the cost of catastrophe response and recommend where to save. • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. What we are looking for • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. Nice to have • A relevant degree or certification. • Experience with policy renewals. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Portland. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
