Financial Analyst - variance reporting (remote)

Bluepeak Stone Civic Services supports public agencies in Jacksonville with budgeting, records and programmes. We are hiring a Financial Analyst to take on variance reporting. We follow procedures carefully and explain them clearly. What you will do • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. • Model the cost of constituent requests and recommend where to save. What we are looking for • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. Nice to have • A relevant degree or certification. • Experience with public records. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Jacksonville. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
