Financial Analyst - variance reporting (remote)

We are growing our team at Westbrook Fern Transit Planning Group and adding a Financial Analyst whose main responsibility will be variance reporting. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. What we are looking for • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. Nice to have • Experience with route schedules. • A relevant degree or certification. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Chicago. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
