Financial Analyst - variance reporting (remote)

Summit Oak Energy is an energy provider in Omaha focused on reliable service and fair billing, and we need a Financial Analyst to lead our variance reporting. You would join a small organisation of about 54 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. • Model the cost of meter readings and recommend where to save. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. What we are looking for • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. Nice to have • A relevant degree or certification. • Experience with service connections. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Omaha. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
