Financial Analyst - variance reporting (remote)

Cedar Drift Energy · Remote · contract

Cedar Drift Energy is looking for a Financial Analyst. The job centres on variance reporting for billing disputes, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We work closely with regulators and communities. What you will do • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. What we are looking for • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. Nice to have • A relevant degree or certification. • Experience with service connections. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in San Diego. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
