Financial Analyst - variance reporting (remote)

Fernwood Lantern Manufacturing is looking for a Financial Analyst. The job centres on variance reporting for machine downtime, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Model the cost of machine downtime and recommend where to save. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. What we are looking for • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. Nice to have • A relevant degree or certification. • Experience with work orders. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Charleston. • We reply to every applicant.
