Financial Analyst - variance reporting (remote)

Harborlight Ember Financial is a financial-services company in Anchorage. We are hiring a Financial Analyst to take on variance reporting. Trust is the product, so accuracy and clarity matter. What you will do • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Model the cost of vendor spend and recommend where to save. • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. What we are looking for • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. Nice to have • Experience with regulatory reports. • A relevant degree or certification. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Anchorage. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
