Financial Analyst - variance reporting (remote)

Harborlight Civic Services supports public agencies in Louisville with budgeting, records and programmes. We are hiring a Financial Analyst to take on variance reporting. We follow procedures carefully and explain them clearly. What you will do • Model the cost of budget submissions and recommend where to save. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. What we are looking for • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. Nice to have • Experience with procurement. • A relevant degree or certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, with flexible days. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Louisville. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
