Financial Analyst - variance reporting (Providence, RI)

Westbrook Iron Insurance is looking for a Financial Analyst. The job centres on variance reporting for catastrophe response, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 117 people based in Providence. What you will do • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Model the cost of catastrophe response and recommend where to save. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. What we are looking for • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. Nice to have • Experience with policy renewals. • A relevant degree or certification.
