Financial Analyst - variance reporting (Providence, RI)

We are growing our team at Summit Stone Energy and adding a Financial Analyst whose main responsibility will be variance reporting. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Model the cost of usage data and recommend where to save. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. What we are looking for • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. Nice to have • A relevant degree or certification. • Experience with meter readings. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Providence. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
