Financial Analyst - variance reporting (Omaha, NE)

Silverline Kestrel Insurance Group sells home, auto and small-business insurance in Omaha. We are hiring a Financial Analyst to take on variance reporting. You would join a small organisation of about 156 people based in Omaha. What you will do • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Model the cost of catastrophe response and recommend where to save. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. What we are looking for • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. Nice to have • Experience with customer complaints. • A relevant degree or certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Omaha. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
