Financial Analyst - variance reporting (New Orleans, LA)

Northwind Ember Early Learning runs childcare centres in New Orleans caring for infants, toddlers and preschoolers. We are hiring a Financial Analyst to take on variance reporting. You would join a small organisation of about 153 people based in New Orleans. What you will do • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. What we are looking for • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. Nice to have • Experience with tuition and subsidies. • A relevant degree or certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in New Orleans, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
