Financial Analyst - variance reporting (New Orleans, LA)

Bluepeak Water Authority operates treatment plants and pipelines around New Orleans. We are hiring a Financial Analyst to take on variance reporting. Crews and office staff work closely together. What you will do • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Model the cost of capital projects and recommend where to save. What we are looking for • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. Nice to have • A relevant degree or certification. • Experience with treatment plant data. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in New Orleans, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
