Financial Analyst - variance reporting (New Orleans, LA)

Lumen North Insurance provides coverage to households and businesses around New Orleans. We are hiring a Financial Analyst to take on variance reporting. Claims teams work together and share what they learn. What you will do • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. • Model the cost of policy renewals and recommend where to save. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. What we are looking for • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. Nice to have • Experience with premium billing. • A relevant degree or certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in New Orleans. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
