Financial Analyst - variance reporting (Minneapolis, MN)

Cedar Ember Financial is a financial-services company in Minneapolis, and we need a Financial Analyst to lead our variance reporting. You would join a small organisation of about 158 people based in Minneapolis. What you will do • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Model the cost of vendor spend and recommend where to save. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. What we are looking for • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. Nice to have • Experience with payment disputes. • A relevant degree or certification. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Minneapolis, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
