Financial Analyst - variance reporting (Minneapolis, MN)

Fernwood Mill Transit Planning is looking for a Financial Analyst. The job centres on variance reporting for service alerts, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. What you will do • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. • Model the cost of service alerts and recommend where to save. What we are looking for • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. Nice to have • Experience with route schedules. • A relevant degree or certification.
