Financial Analyst - variance reporting (Houston, TX)

Lumen Thistle Learning Group operates schools and learning programmes around Houston. We are hiring a Financial Analyst to take on variance reporting. Collaboration between teachers and staff is strong. What you will do • Model the cost of family communication and recommend where to save. • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. What we are looking for • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. Nice to have • A relevant degree or certification. • Experience with attendance records. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Houston. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
