Financial Analyst - variance reporting (Houston, TX)

Greenridge Willow Insurance provides coverage to households and businesses around Houston, and we need a Financial Analyst to lead our variance reporting. You would join a small organisation of about 177 people based in Houston. What you will do • Model the cost of underwriting files and recommend where to save. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. What we are looking for • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. Nice to have • Experience with policy renewals. • A relevant degree or certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Houston, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
