Financial Analyst - variance reporting (Hartford, CT)

We are growing our team at Redstone Fern Transit Planning Group and adding a Financial Analyst whose main responsibility will be variance reporting. Work is collaborative and map-heavy. What you will do • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. What we are looking for • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. Nice to have • Experience with route schedules. • A relevant degree or certification. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Hartford. • We reply to every applicant.
