Financial Analyst - variance reporting (Hartford, CT)

Summit Ashton Foods is a Hartford food manufacturer supplying grocers and food-service customers. We are hiring a Financial Analyst to take on variance reporting. You would join a small organisation of about 46 people based in Hartford. What you will do • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. What we are looking for • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. Nice to have • A relevant degree or certification. • Experience with ingredient orders. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Hartford, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
