Financial Analyst - variance reporting (Hartford, CT)

Lumen Quarry Transit Planning Group is a transit-planning firm in Hartford working with agencies and riders, and we need a Financial Analyst to lead our variance reporting. Work is collaborative and map-heavy. What you will do • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. • Model the cost of route schedules and recommend where to save. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. What we are looking for • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. Nice to have • Experience with fare systems. • A relevant degree or certification.
