Financial Analyst - variance reporting (Detroit, MI)

Stonegate Junction Water Authority is looking for a Financial Analyst. The job centres on variance reporting for treatment plant data, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Crews and office staff work closely together. What you will do • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Model the cost of treatment plant data and recommend where to save. What we are looking for • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. Nice to have • Experience with meter reading. • A relevant degree or certification.
