Financial Analyst - variance reporting (Detroit, MI)

Bright Ridge Insurance is looking for a Financial Analyst. The job centres on variance reporting for policy renewals, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 30 people based in Detroit. What you will do • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. • Model the cost of policy renewals and recommend where to save. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. What we are looking for • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. Nice to have • A relevant degree or certification. • Experience with underwriting files. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Detroit. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
