Financial Analyst - variance reporting (Detroit, MI)

Ironwood Union Banking Services Partners is looking for a Financial Analyst. The job centres on variance reporting for account openings, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 21 people based in Detroit. What you will do • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. • Model the cost of account openings and recommend where to save. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. What we are looking for • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. Nice to have • Experience with fraud alerts. • A relevant degree or certification. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Detroit, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
