Financial Analyst - variance reporting (Detroit, MI)

Clearpath Amber Learning Group runs classrooms and tutoring across the Detroit area. We are hiring a Financial Analyst to take on variance reporting. Collaboration between teachers and staff is strong. What you will do • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Model the cost of school calendars and recommend where to save. What we are looking for • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. Nice to have • Experience with student accounts. • A relevant degree or certification. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Detroit, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
