Financial Analyst - variance reporting (Detroit, MI)

Rivermark Summit Insurance is looking for a Financial Analyst. The job centres on variance reporting for underwriting files, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Claims teams work together and share what they learn. What you will do • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. What we are looking for • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. Nice to have • A relevant degree or certification. • Experience with customer complaints. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Detroit. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
