Financial Analyst - variance reporting (Des Moines, IA)

Redstone Forge Transit Planning is looking for a Financial Analyst. The job centres on variance reporting for accessibility audits, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Des Moines. What you will do • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Model the cost of accessibility audits and recommend where to save. What we are looking for • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. Nice to have • Experience with fare systems. • A relevant degree or certification.
