Financial Analyst - variance reporting (Des Moines, IA)

Redstone Harbor Foods makes sauces, snacks and prepared meals in Des Moines. We are hiring a Financial Analyst to take on variance reporting. You would join a large organisation of about 785 people based in Des Moines. What you will do • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. • Model the cost of cold storage and recommend where to save. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. What we are looking for • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. Nice to have • Experience with production batches. • A relevant degree or certification. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Des Moines, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
