Financial Analyst - variance reporting (Des Moines, IA)

Summit Haven Financial provides savings, lending and payment services from Des Moines. We are hiring a Financial Analyst to take on variance reporting. You would join a small organisation of about 105 people based in Des Moines. What you will do • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. • Model the cost of vendor spend and recommend where to save. • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. What we are looking for • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. Nice to have • A relevant degree or certification. • Experience with loan applications. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Des Moines, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
