Financial Analyst - variance reporting (Des Moines, IA)

Foxglove Stone Energy Group supplies electricity and gas to homes and businesses around Des Moines. We are hiring a Financial Analyst to take on variance reporting. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. • Model the cost of meter readings and recommend where to save. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. What we are looking for • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. Nice to have • Experience with billing disputes. • A relevant degree or certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Des Moines. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
