Financial Analyst - variance reporting (Des Moines, IA)

Northwind Meridian Legal Group is a Des Moines practice with attorneys, paralegals and client-service staff, and we need a Financial Analyst to lead our variance reporting. You would join a small organisation of about 48 people based in Des Moines. What you will do • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. • Model the cost of client files and recommend where to save. • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. What we are looking for • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. Nice to have • Experience with trust accounts. • A relevant degree or certification. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Des Moines. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
