Financial Analyst - variance reporting (Des Moines, IA)

Rivermark Meridian Foods produces packaged foods at its Des Moines plant, and we need a Financial Analyst to lead our variance reporting. You would join a small organisation of about 27 people based in Des Moines. What you will do • Model the cost of ingredient orders and recommend where to save. • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. What we are looking for • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. Nice to have • Experience with allergen controls. • A relevant degree or certification. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Des Moines. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
