Financial Analyst - variance reporting (Columbus, OH)

We are growing our team at Bright Union Transit Planning and adding a Financial Analyst whose main responsibility will be variance reporting. You would join a small organisation of about 20 people based in Columbus. What you will do • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. What we are looking for • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. Nice to have • A relevant degree or certification. • Experience with ridership counts.
