Financial Analyst - variance reporting (Colorado Springs, CO)

Bluepeak Fern Transit Planning Group helps transport agencies around Colorado Springs design routes and schedules. We are hiring a Financial Analyst to take on variance reporting. You would join a large organisation of about 606 people based in Colorado Springs. What you will do • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Model the cost of survey data and recommend where to save. What we are looking for • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. Nice to have • A relevant degree or certification. • Experience with fare systems. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Colorado Springs, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
